Electronic Music Delvings

Hello Everyone! A friend and I have a running joke that we are always going to finish this scrolling shooter we had started in High School using GameMaker called Wings of Thunder. Every now and again we have this burst of creative juices and work to finish it...of course fully knowing that we are ne...

Re: Tune Music and SFX, show us your stuff

Its been a while, hope everyone is doing well. Thought I would just post this little "cut-scene" piece up I had done for fun. Maybe a scene where some diabolical plot is being devised... http://lukenemitz.webs.com/The%20Villainous%20Plot.mp3 In case the above player doesn't work: http://lukenemitz.w...

Good job David and team, wonderfully made game, simple, good-looking, fun and intriguing.

Excited for that top-down space shooter. Hoping the success of these smaller projects serve to encourage you for future projects, large or small :)

Re: Freeware music editor?

It is $50, only if you use it past the evaluation period. So if you have a quick loop/mp3 edit job I wouldn't feel obligated to pay it right then unless you continually plan on using it. (Check out the Download page) The program is definitely worth the purchase though, it is very similar to Apple's ...

Re: Freeware music editor?

I hadn't actually read this thread when I posted here before which is why my post seems very random. But, none the less, the freeware program Reaper I do highly recommend, specifically for this type of situation. To the far right of the play controls there is a repeat button that you can set. The pr...

Re: Talk is Cheap! Post what you're working on.

Now that I am on Christmas break :) Ive been writing music for "RPGesus" (JetSpice's upcoming release). God provided me with the money to purchase Finale 2009 (a notation program) and I am taking full advantage of its new instruments set and features by replacing already written music to the new set...

Shutdown/Startup Music

Hello everyone :) Thought I might add something here to this part of the forum. Here is a "fanfare" like startup/shutdown "piece" i had down for a friend who wanted a new sound when he started up or shutdown his computer. It is very small, but I hope it is enjoyable :) http://www.freewebs.com/wings-...

Not exactly sure what you mean, but all that I do is instrumental Anything non-lyrical/vocal was what I was implying. I had only checked out your band's page previously but just found and listened to your personal MySpace posted earlier in the thread. cool stuff :) So my new response would be I wou...

Re: Crazy Russian Instrument one of first Electrical Instruments

The Theremin is sweet! It has a very haunting yet beautiful quality to it. It has been used in many scores, mainly representing UFOs and the "monster scene". More recently it has been used in John William's Indy IV score to serve as one of the instruments to represent the Crystal Skull. If you check...

Re: Got to see Dark Knight

In reference to all the remarks of Zimmer being the greatest, I will say that I disagree. However I do have respect for Zimmer, he does do well for film composing and alot of movies would not be as successful without his style of writing and instrumentation. One should defiantly immerse themselves i...
