Re: Bible ABCs for Kids [iPhone] [Android]

Again, very impressive work! I completely agree that there is a lack of quality Christian media. Glad to see you're working to address that!

Re: Now that we're done making our speedgames...

I've been telling myself there's no time to start side projects, but taking a break from working solo was so much fun that I might be convinced! Still have to manage time carefully, but the right project could be exciting to participate in. Experience: Win/Mac/Linux, with a preference for Linux. C/C...

Dev blog | TeamBIO

Hey everyone! We're a bit late getting up to speed, but would it be a speedgame otherwise? This year, blendenzo and I are making a point and click game. We're keeping details secret for now, but here an image of some of the rooms we're working on. Things are going pretty smoothly! http://teambio.ble...

Concerning the debate about the Pandora vs. PSP or DS, I found this link.

Re: Open Pandora - better than the PSP or DS Lite?

On the Pandora forums, there was a guy who posted a cut-out Pandora mockup that you can make. Once you get started, though, it can be slightly difficult to know where to stop. :p

That design is an early prototype. The final design for the consumer version has not been released yet.

You can also look through my del.icio.us bookmarks, which have quite a few tutorials. Most of them are aimed at 2d art, but the same principles can be applied to 3d (and should be).

Re: Star Wars The Force Unleashed

I think Jedi academy was actually a lot more fun in some aspects. It added more vehicles and interactive elements into the game, more acrobatic gameplay, and of course the lightsaber options. One of the things I liked about the game's mechanics (but didn't so much from a moral standpoint) were the i...

Re: My 3D art stinks...

You're actually quite close! Keep up the good work, and you'll be modeling for (insert your favorite studio here) in no time! I suggest you learn about edge-loops and make sure you're models extend well into all three dimensions (the model you posted might be a bit flat). After that, it's just a mat...

Re: Star Wars The Force Unleashed

*Plays Star Wars: Force Unleashed demo* *Shrug* Its not that great. Jedi knight: Dark Forces 2 is still better. I was actually thinking along the same lines... I haven't played SW:TFU, but I have Dark Forces 2, Jedi Outcast, and used to own Jedi Academy, and gameplay-wise they all seem to be reachi...

Could you show us some of your artwork? It would be a lot easier to recommend certain tutorials if we know where you're at.

Re: Looking for input on a game-art store idea...

@samw3: Thanks for the input. I'm hoping the problem you're describing won't be too much of an issue, as hopefully there will be people who have a need for the art and can't wait around for others to pay for it. @JeTSpice: You got it. My marketing scheme isn't about making money as much as it is abo...

Re: Looking for input on a game-art store idea...

Thanks fo all the input, everyone! I agree that for 2d art PNG would probably be the best choice. Lossless compression and an alpha channel add up to a nice format As for the 3d format, I'd like to stay away from Blender since it is not used by all game creators. If the artist creating the file uses...

Looking for input on a game-art store idea...

Hi, I'm currently researching the possibility of creating an online art store specifically aimed at low-budget and open-source games. I'm still in the very early stages ("Do I even want to do this?"), but I'd appreciate any input you might have as to how such a store could help you the mos...
