Re: Andrew's Personal Sketchbook Thread

Wow, yeah; :S I definitely did not design this to be compatible with an iPhone. I wouldn't even know where to begin. The main content box must be getting cut off for the reason: when viewed in a normal browser that content is supposed to be bigger than its container, and thus the container puts a sc...

Re: Andrew's Personal Sketchbook Thread

Not just to bump this some, but I have been working hard to revamp my Website: m The Content will change soon, as I add more, recent, projects. In the meantime any feedback or brokeness is appreciated. This has been tested in Firefox and IE7. Refreshing may reveal a rotation in the Twitter Birds. -A...

Re: Andrew's Personal Sketchbook Thread

Each prop takes awhile. Unwrapping, and Texturing probably takes the longest. 3-4 Hours doing it this sloppy way. That said, I have done a sloppy job on most of this, and intend to go back and redo most of the textures.

Programs used are 3dsmax v8 - v2008; Crazybump, Photoshop, and Mudbox.

Re: Andrew's Personal Sketchbook Thread

Well this grind has come to an end. I am sure many of you will be dissapointed. Again I have walked the line between what was practical at the time and what was needed to get a good grade in my last class. I am getting a new PC here in a week or so, and want to start doing a lot more in mudbox; and ...

Re: Andrew's Personal Sketchbook Thread

Yeah the lighting of a race that likes low light is difficult; for us to appreciate the scene we need a -not- low light scene. /shrug

Re: Andrew's Personal Sketchbook Thread

I wanted to share this with you all. I will not have time to render out an animation as I had wanted to, so I will be making Panoramic nodes around the scene and rendering them out. Here is one, though there are still a few objects that need textures. I got the book cases with a cursory texture done...

Re: Andrew's Personal Sketchbook Thread

Comments and Crits Welcome on all posts. The inspiration for this project began after returning from GDC ‘08. While there I was given expert instruction on my art and style, and told by many that: while the industry does focus on photo real environments, I would benefit from adding some whimsical a...
