Okay, thread updated with what are likely the final links. The Kickstarter finished successfully, the game is completed, it's available.

Re: Christian RPG

Hi uc! I've played both of your games and loved them (btw why haven't you posted the second one here?). Thank you for the great games. :) Thanks, glad you enjoyed them! As for my second game, I assume you're referring to A Bloody Peace? I posted about it here, but the thread hasn't had as much long...

Re: Christian RPG

It might have been a long time, but I still get notifications for this forum. Hello, I recently played your game and enjoyed it very much. I plan to share it with others and I literally laughed out loud at some of the lines in the game, such as when the guard wants to send you for drake eggs..., or ...

Cubicle Quest

EDIT: The Kickstarter was a success, the game is available in a variety of ways: Purchase it Free demo here Vote on Steam Greenlight Hello again, everyone. I’m that guy that shows up every few years with another game I’ve designed. I haven't changed, except this time I'm running a Kickstarter: http:...

Re: Christian RPG

Wow, almost four years since I thought about this. Unfortunately, there's no simple way to convert an .exe file and the platform I used for this game doesn't provide options for other operating systems. The only way you can play it on your Mac is if you're running boot camp or any similar software t...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - full game released

Well, the game has been with my beta testers for a very long time. I received two full responses and I made a revision of the game, so here it is. I don't want to give the impression I'm rushing this off. It's definitely fully playable and there's only one known bug that I'm not 100% certain I've fi...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - currently in alpha

I'm discussing things with the person I'd like as my alpha tester; not sure how long that phase will take. Yay, lol. Can I ask why you make games then? Just because it's fun, or because of the message, or just for more experience? Not that I would know if it's fun, I never tried and wouldn't know wh...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - demo released

That would still be cool. :D Have any idea when you'll be done with the game or how much you might sell it for? In terms of time, I'm not certain. I've finished everything except a few persistent bugs and the final testing phases (currently discussing the alpha test with close friends). So almost a...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - demo released

I'm glad people keep commenting, because as I make progress I want to update ever more frequently. There are only a few bugs and additions left, and in the process of solving many of these I've improved the game overall. I personally like it better than the Antagonist and I felt like playing it long...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - demo released

As you can see in the first post, I'm mostly done. One last area, then my final additions and bugs I need to track down somehow. Alpha and beta testing is next. Hey Darnell, The story didn't initially grab me like the Antagonist did, but I must play into it more when I get some time to see if it gra...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - demo released

Well, I could create another demo... or I could focus on finishing the game itself. Check the numbers in the first post; I'm not that far from done.

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - demo released

Thanks for checking out the demo, of course. I continue to work on the game, but all the little things keep accumulating, not to mention life in general. uncreativepseudonym, just wondering because in the demo the girls look like nuns and they were talking about bishops, cardinals, and priests. Ther...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - demo released

And yeah, XP and VX are different in many ways. I haven't used VX yet, but from what I've heard and seen in many games, it's a lot more flexible to do stuff. I'm still trying to learn RubyScript, too, so I want to get all that down first before I tackle RGSS2 in VX. Flexible in some ways, less flex...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - demo released

The demo is released.

File is ~50mb, playtime shouldn't last more than 30 minutes. Feedback would be much appreciated, or as I said I'll only update this again when the game is done.

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - now with trailer

The gameplay I intend to be the demo is fully tested. I'll be creating that at some point in the future and I'll definitely upload it here. After that I promise I'll only bump my own topic with the finished game, unless there are further questions/discussion. Are you going for a custom battle system...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - now with trailer

Progress in general. All the mapping is done, which is the step I find most tedious. I have all the eventing in the game finished unless I add something, all my custom scripts are finally debugged and customized, and I've set up the combat system. Right now I need a break, but pretty soon I'll get b...

Re: "A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG)

Just to clarify, I'm not asking anyone to help. For the casual game that this is, I can do everything myself. My only thought was that some people here might be interested in the project when it was completed.

"A Bloody Peace" (old school RPG) - full game released

First post edited to be straight to the point: the game is essentially done, here it is. Download abloodypeace.theproject.us/A Bloody Peace.exe Disclaimer: This is just a casual game made with RPG Maker VX. I like writing and designing. Not so much with the art and my programming skills aren't adequ...

I think he's talking about the Troll, which is the boss of the cavern as opposed to the initial mountain.

But as for the site, it looks good, thanks!

Re: Christian RPG

Average level is 9 or so. All of my players did 1 damage to him while he dealt 55 a piece to each player. I forgot to do any MP refreshers on Ishmael before I went into combat so that is probably my fault... Level 9 should be more than enough (that's a healthy level for that stage in the game). Tha...
