Re: Still alive?

Seems to still be around, but mostly quiet. I check things out every other month. There is Christ Centered Gaming Reviews and Christian Gamers Alliance, though neither of those are specifically geared towards actual development.

Had lots of good times here.

Re: Switching Careers and Ethical Issue

Hmmm, yeah. I hate to say the obvious, but you just need to pray about it and see what gives you peace. There is no telling that you won't touch someone's life there. But, no doubt, this can be a tough decision. I had this dilemma when I was out of work and one potential job was with a company makin...

Re: Talk is Cheap! Post what you're working on.

I just finished up some soundtrack work for several videos we are showing at church over the next few weeks and during our Christmas program. Now I'm practicing music for our Christmas program next week. This is the first time I'm participating in the program. It's stretching me and requiring me to ...

Hi and welcome!!! Sounds like some interesting stuff going on. You may be interested in the upcoming Christian Game Developer's Conference (http://cgdc.org/). It's a great place to meet others, hang out and learn.

Re: Cover of my next novel, need opinions

It looks like a good concept. The one thing that pops out to me is the use of light/dark. The man with the gun is the center point. It is where your eyes are drawn. That's OK if that's the point, but I would like to see that guy on the top to be lighter. He is somewhat subdued, so my eyes look to hi...

Re: Can a Gift become a Curse?

Though I have not done that sort of analysis in playing games, I have with music and movies. It's hard to say whether or not it got in the way of me enjoying the music/movie as quite often, the analysis results in whether or not I may like something. Though, just because I may analyze something as, ...

I guess I don't understand why coders hold up everything. Why can't story, artwork, models, music, etc. be implemented with or without any coders? A few attempts back, a member and I both coded up some of our portions. I was by no menas done, but I had laid the initial foundation to allow others to ...

Re: wow intresting game news :O

Arch expressed my feelings. It's a risk you are taking. Though, as I've mentioned in another post somewhere, Kickstarter is even worse in that you really aren't investing to get gains. There is never a guarantee what you put your money in on Kickstarter is ever going to see the light of day. Put you...

Ah. I was in Seattle last month (and missed CGDC). I will be on vacation again during Pax. If I wasn't, I'd probably see about heading back to Seattle again and taking a day at Pax.

Have a great time!

Re: Community Game extended from a Speedgame?

I'm still under the impression a community game will only work if there is someone who doesn't care about anyone else working on it. Someone with motivation for it who will work on the game no matter what. If others want to join along at some point then great. That is why Bible Dave worked. It seeme...
