Re: The Polarization of America

For sure, there's character qualities in me that God is not appreciative of, and as I progress in Christ, new ones I never thought of crop up. They're sins -- thoughts of rage or lust or covetousness or something. But until the Spirit has convicted me, I wouldn't know about them -- the heart is dece...

Re: The Polarization of America

She should get her husband to work up a quick game -- maybe a choose your own adventure, which is a pretty simple mechanic. Then she can showcase her art in a real game.

that's an awesome trailer, Brock. Plus a really cool use of the iPhone gyros.

Hm, I'd like to see what happens when the player misses and knifes the clown.

Re: The Polarization of America

trimming the beard, and the other 600+ laws in the old testament (as summarized by the 10 commandments) are under the blood of Jesus. Those with the Spirit of Christ are no longer beholden to any of those laws -- they are completely fulfilled in Christ. If that was all which was written, then homose...

Re: Religions Role in Games?

I agree as well. Although creating a game for either of the two purposes stated (and currently, most Christian games are for Christians) qualifies in my mind, I'm leaning here and there toward trying to harness both. I think that using a symbolic approach (or alegory) is the way to do it. Jesus says...

Re: What makes a metanarrative?

the word says Obedience commands a blessing, so in this regard, it's like a vending machine. However, the type of blessing and when it occurs is not revealed. In ecc, it says that earthly prosperity is something that God gives out at his choice -- there's nothing a person can do to command that sort...

Re: 2010 - Year of Faith-based movies?

Perhaps there will be a time when the good fight is not about "which God is the real God" but about "what is the correct gospel" -- a world where Jesus is proved to all people to be the Way, and so they create their own twisted version of him to worship. As more people claim Jesu...

I thought it amazing that the comments were not riddled with derogatory off-topic remarks about Christianity. In every other article I've seen, that's usually what you get. What's happening to the internet?
