LOD and ethics

By LOD I mean level of detail. I`m working on a game idea and this question comes up. Basically in games like Total War you`re commanding virtual slaughters. You have hundreds of units engaged at one time in `battle` and a very graphic interaction between units > animations and sounds. Feels like th...

path in gamedev

I`m torn on what path I should follow in my next gamedev project. I want to go commercial at some point however until then I need to get something playable. I`m wandering if I should pickup on my Ogre based proj. or start new.

Re: a new MMO concept (overthrowing world of warcraft)

the problem with current mmos is that player vs player or team vs team encounters aren't that exciting. It fells like a torn fps ( conterstrike ?). If players would have more than one char at the same time things would change imo.

Re: Reading the Creation Stories Again

To me the Genesis story is pretty much like the Revelation or Daniels, all those words stand for something however what they mean beats the present day human thinking. Our undersanding of physics increases day by day so in hindsight Genesis must encompass all the physics that man had got to acquire ...

Creation is hard to interpret. One way of the other complex chemistry took place when earth was created.

Re: Is the Bible the Word of God?

Jesus didn't see the Old Testament as an interesting historical artefact, shedding light on his own cultural heritage. He saw it as an authoritative word that is timeless and unchanging

Re: Spiritual condition of the CDN

I think its very important for us to know the history, as well as God's character, and I don't see any other way than through hearing or reading God's word.

Re: Climate Myths and Questions

hard to be accurate when you speak of climate. I was looking for one of the creationism/evolutionism threads , couldn't find at a quick look so ima post my thought here if I may. Has to do with Geology, it's advertised as science but it's not 100% science because it can't be reproduced in laboratory...

Re: Christians as Buddhists

I do believe that westerners (mainly Christians) have to learn something about physical fitness/life stile from Asians. The Asian religions (such as Buddhist) are very closely related to physical discipline (the discipline of the body). Christianity is oriented towards the spirituality/mind but very...

the bible

random thoughs We`re getting into an age where physical evidence means less and everything can be faked. What comes the mind is that the Bible is most precious book we have to date, and not only from the faith based perspective. Seculars replace the notion of sin /divine commandments with `ethics` b...

If the earth was solid all the way through, we wouldn't be observing continental drift, right?

Re: How does a Christian Evolutionist see the Genesis Creation?

Just a thought about geology. It`s a science based upon a lot of guessing, you can`t test geology in laboratory. They say that the earth has a solid core and liquid `body` but they never went there to see it. Is it an assuption because of the magnetic field of the earth? it almost means that we`re l...
