Urgent Prayer Request for A Missionary Family

I know of a missionary family that is just about to run out of financial resources. I am asking as many of you as can to help. My church does not know that I am doing this, but if you think you can help. or just want more information before deciding, please go to m and visit the contact page and ask...

Re: Scripture question- Isaiah 5:22

It might help to examine the idea of chiasm. A chiasm is a literary construct that Hebrew Scripture writers used. It is called chiasm, because if you lay it out diagram-wise it kind of looks like the Greek letter chi (ᵡ). Han actually touched on it a bit in the outlining that he referenced. It has t...

5 Years and Still Going

The following article may be found in the September 2008 issue of the St. Louis Amigan Out of Darkness into His Marvelous Light by S. Scott Lee Adjunct Professor of Old and New Testament, Missouri Baptist University For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of ...

OpenOffice is what I would recommend. It's FREE and better than Word (even if you could tie one hand around its back, it would still be preferable to Word).

Watch Out

Watch your web site log files for these three IPs: 71.41.200.74 71.41.200.78 71.41.200.82 They are currently hammering my own web site. They are used by a bot from Metadatalabs. Yesterday, I contacted Metadatalabs and told them to stop accessing my site (my reason being that they repeatedly try to s...

A Prayer Request for Me. . . and One for the USA

This morning, a little after 4:00am I was in the bathroom throwing up. I will be missing work today. Please pray for my health. Yesterday, while watching the news, they gave a weather forecast that makes it look as though pretty much the entire continental US could get hammered this week in a meteor...

Re: Jews didn't crucify?

Crucifixion was only one method of execution that the Romans used. In my opinion, the fact that the Jews loudly demanded that form of execution speaks more volumes than most here are willing to face.

Re: Jews didn't crucify?

I think we might all be missing something regarding the motivations of the Jewish leaders. First of all, it should be obvious that not all of the Jews wanted Him dead, but basically only the religious did, and it is their motivations that I am looking at. As it is written, and has already been quote...

Re: Comcast to set bandwith capitation?

RM,

There is a building in St. Louis, where it is suspected that the government tracks all Internet traffic. We here know that you're not serious, but the Feds might not be so knowledgeable, or kind and forgiving. In short, pray that no one actually does bomb Comcast, or they will come after you.

At the risk of being overly pendantic (is there any other kind? ;) ), according to this story, the article you quoted is in error regarding its description of a yottabyte.

Re: The Man of Lawlessness

Simon, I have read the histories. The Romans did not act to destroy the temple. The temple was destroyed by Jewish factions who were fighting amongst themselves while under the Roman siege. The temple's destruction was not intentional, however. It caught fire when one Jewish faction tried to set tha...

Re: The Man of Lawlessness

I see nothing in Daniel 9 about a "Prince of Rome", but only about "the anointed one who is to come", which in my mind corresponds much more closely to Jesus Christ (Christ being a title that translates to "the anointed one"), and in Daniel 11, the king who will do as h...

Missionary Team in Auto Accident in Mexico

I got this report in EMail. Apparently, one or more of those involved might have been planning to accompany a team from our church on a trip to Mexico later this year. The van was traveling down one of the main roads when a car coming from the opposite direction blew a tire. They had no time to reac...

Re: Whitehouse Emails Were Lost Due to "Upgrade"

You can disagree with your leaders without publicly insulting them. That public insult is a show of a lack of respect, and that is a sin against God because it shows a lack of respect for God's sovereign will.

Re: The Man of Lawlessness

The fact that the very person who coined the term in the first place refused to use it in the way in which it is so carelessly and wickedly bandied about today should make it obvious that the exceedingly common misuse of the term "antichrist" is an invention of seminaries, professors and p...

Re: Whitehouse Emails Were Lost Due to "Upgrade"

How many times do people have to hear this before they will actually listen? There is only one person who ever used the term "antichrist" in Scripture. That person wrote the book called Revelation—but never once used that term either in the book called Revelation, or in reference to a sing...

Re: Whitehouse Emails Were Lost Due to "Upgrade"

Perhaps you missed this part (or skimmed past it too quickly) from verse 1: "there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." Therefore, it is very clear that—whether through royal succession, military coup, or the vote—there is no one in authority ...
