What algorithm are you using for the game logic? How was Torque 2D? I'm really proud to see you guys worked together and got something out.

Re: Epic Tic Tac Toe for iOS

It was meant to be subtle. I purposely did not use a smiley because for those who know me it would be funnier. Putting a smiley would have completely changed the intent. And yes, I am typing this on the iPad. Thanks Berryijmker for the link. I am actually a huge fan of the iPad. It's almost all I ta...

Sweeeeto!

Big Daddy Creations just announced their 2011/2012 roadmap. I don't know the boardgames they reference, but they sound cool. I'm keeping my eyes on these.

And asynch multiplayer for Neuroshima Hex coming in December.

Re: Speed Art Challenge #9

Hey! My first entry into either a Speed Art or Dev Challenge. I am no artist, but wanted to enter something. It took me less than 20 minutes and is a paint palette, drawing a paint palette, that itself has the last two colors of the final painting. My main personal goal with this was to do everythin...

You may also want to understand light. Learn how we see things. How differently we perceive lighting in film (on screen) vs. in real life. Learn about lighting techniques. Where to place lights. And it may also involve learning about colors, filters, and surfaces as well. You might be interested in ...

Boardgames on the iPad

I'm only just starting to get into it, but there are several boardgames available on the iPad. I think I mentioned I got "Ticket To Ride" awhile ago. I just picked up "Neuroshima Hex" the other day. These games are extremely enjoyable and are great ports. TTR has online play, but Neuroshima Hex is o...

Re: Major Studio Game Dev Contracts -- Humm...

Yes. This is very typical in work agreements. Companies do not want you pursuing something similar outside of work. For one, it can be considered competition. I ask my managers first before doing something to be sure I am not doing anything wrong. The ugly part is about them owning whatever you do o...

Re: Community Game

Yes. We already have an SVN repository with some foundational code (C#/XNA) for what was going to be a CDN community game. But the project went nowhere. I don't recall offhand where the repository is located. I'd have to look on my laptop at home.

Man! It was fantastic. Great to meet everyone. Really happy I went. Would have been cool to be there both days. There were so many points we can bring up for discussion.

Y'all have safe trips home.

Tim, I went to the conferences back in '03 and '04 when I lived right in town. I'm still thinking about going this year. I know I need to decide QUICKLY. This is ONE crazy week for us and I don't do well when I feel like a pinball, bouncing around from here to there. I see I needed to respond by yes...

Re: Eek - need some cultural sensitivity advice from an American

To be honest, the slogan itself is strange. I am probably mis-reading it, though. "They set out to find some donkeys Instead they found themselves a king" I am reading this as some people went looking for something, but instead found Jesus. Though He (Jesus), turned out to be ..... That's how I am i...
