Hey dude, Outstanding work! I REALLY like the first one. I love the way you have the warm and cold contrast and that neither is really limited to its own side. :) . In my opinion though, the hills on the piece are too clean. you made a point of texturing the rest of that piece and breaking up clean lines but it looks like you blurred them which makes them stand out a bit too much. I DO like them though; I just think this piece would be better off as two pieces since there seems to be a split in style.
The third one is wicked though. I really like the composition of it and the horizontal smudge lines and that bit of shrubbery on the left which balances it out but doesn't steal focus. High five dude!
About the last piece. I like your attention to detail in it. It's actually making me want to work on one of my game ideas now. :)

Post more of your stuff. Right now.

How long on average do those scenery pics take? I think it could be interesting to experiment with those some more

Edit: Scratch that; I just read the original post; I am a tool

The 3rd one is my favorite, followed by the last one I think(though color is needed). On the last one it makes me wonder what type of navigation is planned. 2D from that view doesn't look like much of a possibility so I assume that it will just be a exterior view that can be entered and see evidence of the holes when you explore the rooms.

Hi!
Thanx for the feedback !

Lava...First one is probably my favorite to!

Jestermax....I usually do these quite quickly....then if I like them I keep them....if not they just get deleted....I love the looseness so I would hardly ever go back and rework them....other than maybe just a spot here and there that stands out.

Christo....thanx....I am not planning to use that pic in a game.....but I would love to create a game like...Braid....in that kind of style!....Here is one with some colour added!

I like how you coloured the lines you drew and not the cheap "colour the white areas" way. You DO realize that you have to start posting more of your stuff now right? What type of equipment are you using?

Hey!

Sho......Thanx again for the kind words guys....

Jestermax....Thanx....I must confess though....I did use the cheap overlay colour effect  .....but here is a little tip......if you are working in layers....and depending on what overlay effect you use....you can target only certain areas...like in this case the lines...but not all of them were targeted!...I used The Gimp.....and I have a very cheap Genius Tablet......works great for me....only problem I have with it....I cant use multiple screens...so I just use one decent size one!

Sam...Thanx....I always find colour quite tough.....but as I am learning.... I am starting to pick up more combos that work....but It does not come naturally to me like for some artists! :(

JoeJoeZ26....Thanx man!.. :o I certainly dont deserve that title!...but I'll take it before mene grabs it.... :D

Yeah, I struggle with color too. Itchy's light tutorial was quite a revelation for me. :)

I used to have access to a copy of ColorImpact when I worked for my previous employer. It's really nice.

God Bless!

Thanx for those links Sam! I will check them out later!! ;)

Something that helped me a lot with light was actually spending months in 3D..... lighting simple scenes from all angles trying to get the best results....To my surprise I carried that knowledge over to my 2D drawings.....I was not planning it...but it was great that it happened! :D

God bless!
