Wife's Art

Postby bfogerty » Fri Jan 22, 2010 4:58 pm

Hey guys. My Wife is working on becoming an video game artist. She has started her journey with Adobe Photoshop and Flash. The following link are a few characters she has been working on recently. What do you guys think? What do you like and what could be done better? Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

She should get her husband to work up a quick game -- maybe a choose your own adventure, which is a pretty simple mechanic. Then she can showcase her art in a real game.

Wow, really nice... I'd agree with JeTSpice... Just keep on drawing, looks like time and research is all she needs, she's got the goods.

On a side note, the styles all seem to be within the same genre, she might enjoy expanding to other styles... (Which is key in becoming an artist, being able to call a lot of different styles your own [gives designers flexibility])

She'd be a great pixel artist for like iphone games or apps. I like her style. She just needs to keep practicing like we all do. Loved the cartoons. She's going to be really good. Tell her to keep up the good work.

I agree with Blacko on the photoshoped work. Still she's definitly on her way.

Love ya bro. Be blessed.
