Added support for floating text, bars(like health bars), and images to my game engine.

Starting a documentation effort for my game engine. So far I have added XML comments to my main class. going to focus on the public members first since that will be the most important part for those using my engine. I have been very weak on documentation because I felt for a while that my engine was changing so fast I would end up spending a lot of time rewriting the documentation. Now it is important as I feel my engine is becoming much more stable and if I am going to sell it I need to make it easier to understand what is going on.

Did another drawing, didn't like how it turned out. Tried a style I haven't for the shade rendering, don't quite like the scratched shadow look. The drawing didn't turn out that great anyway, proportions all over the shop and inconsistency with left and right side, resized the head when going over it in GIMP but turned out still too big, ahh oh well. Trying to get a more smooth, flowy styled body, but as I work with base skeletons it just turns out too rigid in my style.

Here are the original sketches when scanned btw.

Have to say that those original Sketches have so much more feeling in them than the finished ones.

But thats what usually happend after coloring.

I'm carrying on implenting the engine for my adventure game in Unity. This week I've been mostly messing around with camera issues, which I've blogged about.

Made a quick re-design of my website, MewWorld.com. It definitely looks better than it did. But really, this spring I'm gonna make some MAJOR changes to it. So be looking for it then.

I was positively surprised from that picture Diroh.

Somehow i was expecting something much worse from you for some reason.

That picture was quite acceptable.

Yea! My first post in Talk is Cheap!

(Assuming you can post things which don't pertain to game-making) Here's the synopsis from my twelve-chapter novel that I'm writing:

The once-free people of Aardinraan (Are-din-ran) find themselves enslaved by an evil dictator and trapped by his thick web of lies. With no hope for the future they began calling out to a long-forgotten deity. Then a boy named Jared mysteriously appears from another world, and they declare him the ‘Promised One’ from an ancient prophesy sent to help them find the truth and regain their freedom.
But will Jared succumb to the lies like those before him, and dismiss his true identity? Or can he navigate through the sorrows, betrayals, and ambushes set by the evil Lord Derek to learn the ultimate truth about himself and his world? Will he discover that the truth really does set you free?

Chapters Completed: 2/12

Also, on the Gaming end of things, I'm continuing to mess around with Unity. Slowly working through an FPS Tutorial I found, but overall just tinkering with the engine. Trying to figure out why adding a rigid body with gravity to any imported models makes them sink through terrain.
And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision...For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:2-3

I got a new theme up on my book review blog: http://guywithbook.com/" target="_blank

I've had it up for a little while, but I still can't decide if I like it. Especially the header--anyone got input? The background fades from light blue to white, and I didn't know how to get the header to do the same so it would match, so I ended up having to do transparency with PNG.

If you want it to match, you're probably going to have to figure out where it is and setup a lil' gradient. Frankly, I think it looks fine. Rather good actually, the colors work and everything just kinda flows.

Good to hear--I didn't want the header to look too complicated or just "out there." But if it looks good, I'm definitely happy with keeping it.

Spent the day trying to make a better video about my project and Christian video games in general:

I've tried putting a bit more effort in to this one to make it more interesting than previous videos I've made. It'll be interesting to see if it gets more views as a result. I probably spent about about eight hours on this in total, which I guess still isn't loads.

@Brownboot - But I don't wanna. It's not worth fiddling around with. I'd rather move onto another drawing today, really couldn't be bothered fixing up that.

Edit: OH fine.

Diroh, that's usually a decent strategy... That way everyone can go, "ooh" when you succeed and no "ugh" should you be in over your head.
