Finally got a lull in schoolwork to get back to some of my flash programming. My first fully-complete game is almost finished: I'm just need to finish the graphics and level design.

I as well have been sick, but here's what I have so far on my next game called Save the Caterpillar. All of these are unfinished/WIP screenshots, especially the last one of the gameplay, which I have only started on.

Basically you tilt the device to move the caterpillar to stay hidden under the leaf (which blows around the screen at different speeds), and if you are not under the leaf for a certain time, a mantis pops out and it's game over (I think).

For some reason the scrolling is broken on the page, but from what I see it looks great. :)

Hey everyone,

It's been a very long time since I've posted. Things have been good, I started a new job about a year and a half ago, still software development with C# and ASP.NET.

The mission church has been growing a lot lately. Our last two Sundays, we had over 40 in attendance, so that's still moving along. We're constantly striving to improve the music as well. A new couple joined a few weeks back and the guy is a bass player too, so I've switch to rhythm guitar and keyboard for the services. We've also stopped using any printed music, the leader/lead guitar player has an iPad and the bass player and I share my Android tablet (the drummer has never used music). We have the ultimate-guitar.com app on both devices and bookmark the songs before service. It works well and allows us to look things up on the fly as well as change keys if we need to.

Speaking of music, I quit my band back in September. Things were really going to the way I wanted and it was time for a change. I've auditioned for a few bands since then, but haven't really found what I'm really looking for. I have another audition next week! So, we'll see what that leads to, they have a pretty unique sound and it is less metal than I'm used to, but fun nonetheless.

I've been really busy with my game company Wastex Games. I made two releases last year and have several things in the works right now. I've recently taken down my website and only have a blogspot blog right now. I'm not sure if I'm going to redesign a new site or not, the blog seems to be handling everything I need right now. I've also had a shift in focus more towards my own board games and card games, and away from RPG supplemental materials.

If you'd like more information about the gaming stuff, you can check out my site:

You asked for pics: well, here's a screenshot of the game with placeholder graphics.
Spoiler! :

It's a simple side-scrolling game in which the player must dodge obstacles while running away from a bear.

Here's a picture of the head for the work-in-progress bear sprite:

Any advice? No matter how much I change it, I still feel like the proportions are slightly off.

Looking good! (Even though the graphics are placeholder, the fact that you have an ongoing project is great)

As for the bear, I would say that the snout and mouth are a bit long. But you might want a 2nd opinion on that :)

Keep it up! :)

Hmm. Part of the problem is that in real life there's a pretty big variation in bear head shapes.

It's a fine line to walk between looking like a dog and looking like a cat.
