Instant Action (Garage Games) closes Portland office

Postby CPUFreak91 » Thu Nov 11, 2010 9:20 pm

Looks like InstantAction wasn't able to make money off of anything but the Torque engine:

At least they didn't have to put their company up for sale like Emergent Technologies (Gamebryo) did.

So the whole company is shutting down actually and they're looking to sell Torque :(

Wait so what's going on? They are 'selling Torque'. I thought InstantAction was just the 3d web browser deal. So the entire Torque engine is being sold?

Thanks for posting the link Mene, forgot to post it yesterday. GarageGames was renamed InstantAction. Basically GarageGames/InstantAction is shutting down. Officially we shut down on Dec. 1st, unofficially everyone cleared out of the office yesterday. They are looking to sell Torque, this may result in someone buying it bringing us over, possibly not. IAC, our parent company, made major scale backs at another of their companies as well, ask.com.
